Coline Naujalis is a multi-faceted artist: a freelance photographer, illustrator, and motion designer.
A graduate of the Estienne school in Paris (BTS) and holding a Master’s degree in visual communication from the prestigious Central Saint Martins in London, her solid academic background laid the foundation for her creative career. Her graduation film, “The Brown’s Daughter,” gained international recognition and was even broadcast on Arte.
She worked for five years as a freelancer in London before moving to France, collaborating with numerous agencies and production houses. Throughout her career, she has contributed to notable projects, such as creating the opening credits for the BBC television series “Jamie Johnson,” which was nominated for BAFTA and Emmy Awards. She also animated an explanatory film for the Lumos foundation, created by J.K. Rowling, and created the animations for a show about the life of Frida Kahlo at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
More recently, Coline created the animations for the documentary film “Suzanne Valadon, Uncompromising Painter,” for Arte, directed by Flore Mongin. This collaboration with Flore Mongin continued with the graphic novel “Suzanne Valadon, sans concession” (Seghers editions), for which she created the illustrations. This book, which received the Grand Prix de l’Héroïne Madame Figaro 2025, highlights the artist’s bold journey and her quest for independence. Coline’s illustration work is described as sensitive and powerful, capturing the energy and complexity of the character.
Alongside her professional projects, Coline pursues a personal artistic practice, with a strong interest in painting and colour.
She currently lives and works at altitude, in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees.
